Winerie Alcovin, one of the three wine centeres of Sarica Niculițel, is located in Măcin and coveres 300 hectares of land. The winery was established in 2002, having as main object of activity the production of wines, bottling and marketing. The wines obtained here are delivered both in bottled and bulk form, both for the internal and for the external market. Since 2011, Alcovin company is the official supplier of the Royal House of Romania. Fetească Regală is a dry white wine, with wild rose, acacia honey and wild flowers. Aromas of melon, juicy pears and notes of wild roses. The crisp and harmonius taste is perfected by the well- defined acidity. Alira Merlot, is a strong dry red wine, but velvety and expressive, which was born in Dobrogea, between Aliman and Rasova, it brings celebration in every glass. The intense aromas of cherries, enriched with chocolate and limestone, leave room for vegetal notes, offering a fruity, long taste, ennobled by soft tannins and sweet spices from French oak barrels in which it was matured Muscat Ottonel Colinele Dobrogei is aromatic and fragrant, the main notes being white flowers. It is a dry white wine. The taste is also fresh, in tune with the scent. It is an ideal wine for summer evenings, and is best consumed with dried fruits, desserts, but should always be served cold. Murfatlar, Romania's largest wine producing region, is located 10 miles west of the Black Sea coast. Over 300 days of sunshine, along with cool breezes from the sea, make this area ideal for the production of medium-dry and sweet wines, such as late harvest Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Muscat Ottonel. Red wines are also produced at Murfatlar - Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir being the most popular.
